Neon Green (With Envy)

I’ve been trying to do this new thing with my money lately called “saving” and did not realize until recently that I kind of suck at it. For instance, I remember walking into a store with my dad because he needed measuring tape and walking out with this post’s sweater. Later I went to Walmart for lasagna and walked out with a new box of vanilla chai tea despite the fact that I have 100 bags of various teas at home already. I envy those who can save money long term.100_0931

I got 99 problems and, unfortunately, this sweater just so happens to be one.

January Pumpkin

I get the feeling that I’m going to spend the rest of my life yearning to be one of those people who can dress appropriately for all four seasons. I can do “seasonal” outfits (hence, why I own a red blazer with black sequin lapels-for the “Christmas season”) and I can dress for spring and fall, but when it comes to dressing for the season I’m in every single day, my mind goes blank. And that, my friends, is why I’m wearing a pumpkin colored cardigan in January. It’s so sad how much I can genuinely appreciate a season and all of the clothes that go with it, but only be able to dress in the fashions of the one before it. It must be all the leaves in my yard influencing my outfit.100_0822 100_0828

As you guys can probably tell, these are my favorite necklaces. That squid looks pretty attractive with that pendant.

Winter Wonderland

Gah! I apologize for the blurriness of these photos. It was incredibly windy outside when these were taken (my gutter got blown off my roof and is now chillin’ in my front yard along with the lid to my neighbor’s trash can) so I had to have my dad do it for me. As you can probably tell, he doesn’t have the world’s steadiest hands (though I suppose shivering can do that to you.) On the bright side, it actually began to snow last night! It didn’t stick and now it’s quite sunny, but it was fun while it lasted. Good job mother nature!100_0684

Mint Mice

In about 24 hours I have to take a pre-calculus exam that counts for about 20% of my grade and rather than studying, I chose to go out and frolic in the leaves in my backyard whilst taking photos. My priorities are apparently all wrong.100_0668 100_0671

It’s finally stopped raining in my area! It may have taken about 6 days, but it is finally dry outside again so I decided to celebrate with moccasins, a striped sweater (the best time to wear a striped sweater…is all the time), and brand new tea. Sorry my outfit’s kind of boring today, though. I’m in the midst of testing right now and then I have exams next week so I like to dress smart in hopes that my body will absorb the intelligence of my outfit. Plus, sweaters are a nice way to feel cozy without having to wear sweats.100_0645 100_0642
