Rose

March weather fluctuates too fast for me to handle. I wore this outfit a couple of days ago when it was in the low 20s to mid 30s and now its nearly 70 degrees outside. My clothes can barely keep up with these changes. On the bright side, though, I do like that I was able to pull in some bright, springy colors into this outfit and carry a little bit of the upcoming season with me in the lovely roses on my sweater! They actually remind me a bit of the roses that grow in my backyard, only with less wasps and bees hanging around!100_2516 100_2513

The Never Ending Battles

After spending all of last week being sick and disgusting, I am back and ready for action. The only thing fitting of my new found resilience and pride in my abilities to fight off illness is an outfit that’s just as battle ready. I wore these combat boots which I find very representative of the struggle I face every morning as I grapple with the fact that I have to put on real shoes. My jacket is just as meaningful as it accurately depicts my struggle to stay weather appropriate as the temperature changes from hot to cold at alarming rates, typically resulting in a runny nose on my part. I find that the sweater ties it together with the fun, bright stripes that contrast with its snuggly and warm nature just as I push to stay bold and enthusiastic despite my desire to be curled up in bed and surfing the web.

Valentine’s Nails

Because I’m very cheesy and have not done a nail art post in a while, I decided to give a thematic one a go and post some Valentine’s Day nail art that I’ve been rocking for the past week. They’re all very simple designs that only relied on 3 polishes each (both of which include my favorite polish in the color ‘love’ from Pure Ice) and were painted to the musical stylings of Ariana Grande and her album Your’s Truly, which I will be blasting all day on Friday as I prepare for my super hot date with my laptop and my box of Thin Mints. Hopefully, any of you who are looking to do some semi-festive, but still fairly relaxed nail art are inspired!100_2437100_2431 100_2405 100_2395

Hope you guys have a great Valentine’s Day and feel free to drop your plans for it down in the comments! 🙂

Panda Nails

While I’m not typically the world’s largest nail art enthusiast (I envy it on others but don’t usually have the patience to try it for myself), I do like to go for some fun nails, which is how I came up with this lovely creation, in which the middle and ring fingers go together to form a panda. The cool part is…

…there’s actually a separate panda on each finger. They may not be the best drawn characters in the world (especially since most don’t recognize that they green is bamboo without prompting), but I think this calls for an A+ for my efforts!
