Today I decided to take a stroll from the land of Work That Actually Needs To Be Done and into the lovely world of procrastination with a random weekend post (which hasn’t been done in a while due to the fact that I actually don’t like the word ‘random’). Who needs to know the importance of Supreme Court cases when they can waste time taking pictures of things in their sketchbooks and reading books that have no relation to the actual subjects of their study? Yay for avoiding education!
And we can happily close this post out with some of the cases that I should be studying right now. Delightful!
Back when I was younger I thought that I was going to grow up to be a bridal or formal gown designer. Unfortunately, the dream was lost within the past couple of years (though I still am in love with bridal design), but I found one of my old sketchbooks and decided to share some of my favorite designs from it! So, yeah. Here goes it.
It is a fabulously rainy Sunday for me and all I want is to go to the Goodwill and buy some new button ups and a pair of jeans to put prints on (I’ve been inspired by macbarbie07 on youtube.) I don’t really want to go out in the rain, but I just might risk it. If I don’t, this will probably turn into an unproductive day of pretending to be in touch with my artistic side whilst listening to radio on my computer. I really don’t have much of a life to be honest.
I’ve had a pretty busy time this January, starting with trying to figure out this whole “school” thing again (it only takes a couple of weeks to forget how much of a pain an education can be – that being said, I do enjoy learning.) Then, after only being back for about a week, I found out my regional HOSA competition was coming up, so I rushed to buy my very first suit (which will be seen in a later post.) The most spectacular news, though, is that I won 1st place in my event! So, I said to myself, ‘self, what is a better way to celebrate winning something for the first time in your life than to create a random weekend post?’ and my self said back ‘nothing.’ Thus here we are.
Sorry I was gone again for such a long gap, guys. I’ve kind of had a really terrible week. It technically all started last Wednesday when my AP Language teacher (who was my favorite teacher) quit her job because a lot of the kids at school didn’t like her “teaching style” which led her to the point in her life where she decided that she’d rather be jobless than come to school every day and be criticized for 7 hours straight. Fortunately, my school had a replacement lined up for her who came in that Thursday and was really committed to the job despite the fact that she was due to give birth to her child this December. We began class as normal for the next two days, but on Monday we found out that her and her unborn child had both passed away over the weekend. Then, on Thursday, I got sick (which is quite trivial in comparison to what happened to my teacher). I guess things have to get worse before they get better, huh?
